The Regional Senior Human Resources (HR) Business Partner plays a pivotal role in ensuring employee engagement and retention through the collaboration and strategic relationships built among employees and management of the North Carolina Region. This role is a strategic business partner who "leans in" to ensure the needs of the business are met, balancing FUJIFILM Biotechnologies culture with the consistent implementation of policies and practices. The Regional Senior Human Resources Business Partner is a leader who shows empathy with appropriate firmness while driving Human Resources programs that focus on our people. This is a highly visible role working with all levels of the organization.

Job Description

What You'll Do

Focuses on strategic Organizational Design/Development, Organizational Effectiveness (OD &OE), Employee Relations, Talent Management, and Performance/Analytics to ensure superior business knowledge to effectively partner and support stakeholders in order to drive business results

Provides strategic Human Resources guidance to managers and employees at all levels within the organization. Partners with leadership and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and engagement. Consults with direct manager for matters of significance to the organization.

Provides expert Human Resources policy guidance and interpretation while partnering stakeholders and otherer departments to ensure alignment with HR policies, processes and practices. Collaborates with other members of People and Culture department on updates to current Human Resources policies and processes.

Partners with managers and employees on complex employee relations matters through coaching, conflict resolution and creative problem solving

Coaches and partners with management on complex talent management, performance, disciplinary and developmental conversations

Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations that balance the employee needs and business needs while also maintaining confidentiality. Follow investigation process to ensure alignment with applicable laws and with exceptional attention to detail for legal compliance

Collaborates with other members of the People and Culture team in order to drive a People First culture and alignment between the

Conducts 30/60/90- and 1-year check-ins with new hires and managers of new hires to proactively identify both positive and negative trends in the organization

Manages the review, maintenance, and approval of appropriately leveled and benchmarked Career Framework and job descriptions, including review of FLSA designation

Partners with the Talent Attraction team by aligning on headcount and policies, reviews and approves offer letters and appropriate payroll paperwork for assigned workstream(s), and conducting interviews of people leaders roles for assigned workstream(s)

Participates in Headcount/SWP (Strategic Work Plan) meetings with assigned workstream(s) to ensure appropriate organizational design and headcount the right employees are hired at the right level, at the right time

Conducts Talent Review and Organizational design meetings with leadership to ensure FUJIFILM Biotechnologies is cultivating talent

Manages conversations and movements in regard to employee changes (transfers, promotions, etc.) and annual compensation increases

Conducts exit interviews and ensures a seamless offboarding process

Maintains knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance

In collaboration with Learning & Development, facilitates trainings and workshops (including New Hire Orientation and People Fundamentals) for stakeholders, as needed

Partners with LOA Administrator, Benefits, and Payroll to ensure leave of absence process and ADA administration for employees is in alignment with current business practices

Assists with Global Mobility process, as needed

Assists in administration of Fujifilm Biotechnologies internship program (recruitment, onboarding, activities, etc.), as applicable

Assists with People and Culture initiatives, events and activities

Performs other duties, as assigned

Basic Requirements

High School Diploma or GED with 12+ years of progressively responsible HR experience

OR

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Communications, or other related area with 8+ years of progressively responsible HR experience

Previous experience conducting investigations, coaching managers and employees

4 years of basic computer skills in Microsoft Office products

Previous leadership/management experience may be considered in lieu of a degree and/or direct HR experience

Preferred Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources or Psychology, or related area

Previous experience in a Global matrixed environment

Previous experience coaching senior leaders

Previous leadership experience

Previous experience in a cGMP environment

Previous experience developing HR processes or procedures

4 years of previous experience utilizing iCIMS, ADP and DocuSign

4 years of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint and Excel)

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for 30 minutes

Ability to sit for 120 minutes

Ability to conduct activities using repetitive motions that include wrists, hands or fingers

Ability to conduct work that includes moving objects up to 10 pounds
