Manufacturing Maintenance Technician Position Level:

Maintenance Supervisor
Position Summary: We are seeking a dependable and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring the smooth operation of equipment and machinery. This role plays a critical part in maintaining productivity by responding quickly to breakdowns, conducting routine inspections, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities: Perform regular inspections of machinery and electrical control systems to detect potential malfunctions or wear. Conduct functional and safety tests on equipment. Carry out preventative maintenance to minimize unplanned downtime. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults, including control systems and electrical boards. Replace faulty electrical and mechanical components as needed. Respond quickly to breakdowns, identify root causes, and implement repairs to minimize downtime. Recommend and execute improvements to enhance machinery reliability. Maintain accurate logs and records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs. Ensure all work complies with safety standards and environmental regulations. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and continuous production flow. Assist in training operators and junior technicians in basic troubleshooting procedures. Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment, specializing in electrical control systems and mechanical repairs. Strong ability to diagnose failures in mechanical and electrical systems and implement effective solutions. Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control systems. Experience with PLC troubleshooting and repair is highly desirable. Skilled in the use of diagnostic tools and electrical testing equipment. Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or degree in electrical systems or related field preferred. Extensive hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing electrical failures in industrial machinery. Requirements:
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle urgent breakdowns. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Strong understanding of electrical control systems, wiring, and PLCs. Commitment to safety protocols, especially regarding electrical work. Ability to lift and move heavy equipment. Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Basic knowledge of HVAC systems and hydraulics. Bilingual abilities are a plus.
