This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of DMS International. We are currently looking for an Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Engineer in Maryland (USA).

This role offers an exciting opportunity to design, implement, and optimize Azure Virtual Desktop solutions supporting over 60 developer groups using cutting-edge technologies. You will be responsible for architecting secure, highly available virtual desktop environments, driving automation, and enhancing system capabilities in a cloud-first environment. Working remotely, you will contribute to mission-critical projects that enable workforce transformation and technological innovation within a dynamic and collaborative team.

Accountabilities

Architect, manage, and optimize secure, high-availability Azure Virtual Desktop and Virtual Machine solutions aligned with industry best practices. Implement and maintain AVD environments within CI/CD pipelines to enhance speed and reliability. Develop automation scripts to streamline deployments and operational tasks in the cloud. Continuously update and secure AVD resources to ensure optimal performance and compliance. Document systems, processes, and workflows to support team collaboration and capability growth. Stay current with Azure cloud technologies and participate in training opportunities to enhance technical skills. Requirements

U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret-level Security Clearance. Minimum 4 years of experience with Azure, AVD technologies, or similar virtual desktop solutions. Strong understanding of Windows Installer technologies and shared VM resource management. Proven experience in architecting and designing Azure-based cloud solutions. Knowledge of high-availability concepts such as clustering, failover, and geographic redundancy. Familiarity with network design, including edge services and point-to-point VPNs in cloud environments. Preferred qualifications:

Certifications in Microsoft Azure, AWS, RHEL, or Windows Server. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell. Experience with Configuration Management tools like Ansible. Familiarity with managed antivirus tools (e.g., McAfee, Trellix ePolicy Orchestrator). Knowledge of Secure Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) standards. Experience using Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, Bitbucket). Benefits
