Global investment Firm seeks an expereinced Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Officer, this indvidiual wioll be responsible for overseeing and managing the Firm's AML, BSA, and OFAC compliance programs. You will work in conjunction with compliance and business colleagues to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and industry best practices. We are seeking to add a knowledgeable, driven, intellectually curious and experienced compliance professional to the compliance team led by the Chief Compliance Officer.
This role is currently in a hybrid schedule (3 days in office / week).
The candidate must possess an in-depth understanding of AML requirements driven by regulations. Additionally, t he AML compliance officer should be able to: Be informed of the results of the business-wide money laundering and terrorist financing risk assessment Oversee and monitor the extent to which AML procedures are adequate and effective; consistently provide updates to amendments or processes At least once a year, assess the effective functioning of the compliance function, including through audit Development of a risk assessment framework Development of policies and procedures Onboarding customers, including high risk customers with the New Accounts team Reporting to the management body Reporting suspicious transactions Firm-wide training and awareness
Responsibilities
:
Coordinate with external vendors for the internal annual AML audit, providing relevant documentation from all business lines to facilitate the audit process. ssist the Chief Compliance Officer in responding to inquiry letters and preparing Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) as needed. Conduct research and provide guidance on new business or account requests with the New Accounts team to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies. Manage the Bi-Weekly Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) file download and distribution process to the New Accounts Team, ensuring timely and accurate dissemination of information. Manage a Periodic Know Your Customer Review Program, including best execution procedures to enhance customer due diligence processes. Review Risk Ratings for new customers and assign internal AML Risk Ratings based on established criteria and guidelines. Collect and maintain records of Foreign Bank Certifications from Corresponding Clients, as well as AML Certifications/Wolfsberg Principal letters, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. ensuring effective implementation and monitoring of AML/CFT requirements, including KYC procedures for clients and contractors Develop, implement, and maintain the company's AML policies and procedures tailored to our specific business risks in the high-frequency trading environment Supervise the monitoring of clients' transactions for compliance with AML regulations, with particular focus on the unique risks of low-priced securities and direct market access Ensure full compliance with SEC's Market Access Rule (15c3-5), which requires risk management controls and supervisory procedures Conduct comprehensive risk assessments of the firm's AML program, including customer, product, and geographic risks Develop and maintain effective risk-based customer due diligence (CDD) procedures Ensure timely and accurate filing of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) with appropriate details and narratives Design and implement transaction monitoring system specific to broker-dealer operations Qualifications:
3 years of experience in a similar compliance role within the financial services industry. In-depth knowledge of AML and KYC regulations and best practices. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Professional certification (e.g., CAMS, CRCM) is preferred.
