Consumer Services Assistant
for our
Finance
department in the
Meridian, MS

The Consumer Services Assistant is responsible for managing and processing warranty claims related to Atlas Roofing Corporation's manufacturing divisions. This role ensures timely, accurate claim qualification and resolution, while providing high-quality support to homeowners, contractors, distributors, and internal teams. It also serves as a critical liaison between customer-facing communications and internal quality control, manufacturing, and field sales teams.
Primary Responsibilities Serve as the first point of contact for warranty claims via phone, email, and digital platforms from homeowners, contractors, dealers, and legal representatives. Qualify and assign claims based on plant of manufacture, input data into CRM and tracking systems for workflow and reporting. Send claim documentation to relevant parties and follow up for completion of required materials (proof of purchase, estimates, certifications, etc.). Review completed claim packages for processing, escalate unique claims to management or QC as needed. Evaluate material and labor costs aligned with regional pricing benchmarks for fair settlement. Maintain ongoing communication with internal departments (manufacturing, sales, QC, R&D) regarding claims insights and trends. Interpret and clearly explain warranty terms and conditions to all stakeholders. Prepare and issue correspondence such as settlement offers, release forms, estimate requests, and technical responses to municipalities and specifiers. Track and monitor claims through all stages; maintain organized digital and physical claim files. Analyze claim data to identify recurring quality issues and assist in root cause analysis with management. Generate internal reports including daily activity, monthly summaries, and data queries for management and product teams. Education & Experience
High school diploma required. Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience in customer service, warranty administration, or construction-related industries. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong working knowledge of residential roofing products, and application methods. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM/claims management software. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze lab reports and warranty documentation. Excellent organizational, follow-up, and interpersonal skills. Additional Information
Primarily desk-based; frequent computer use with repetitive hand motion. Must be able to sit for long periods and occasionally lift up to 10 lbs. Requires color vision, hearing, and clear speech to support claim assessments and customer interaction. Occasional bending, reaching, or travel for on-site inspections. Total Compensation
