Location: 1585 Jack C. Hays Trail, Buda, TX 78610 Pay Rate: $23 without HME; $24 with HME

Sign-On Bonus: $1,500 Job Type: Full-time, Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Truck Driver to join our team in Buda, TX. We are looking for a professional, safe, courteous driver. The person in this position will pull a pneumatic dry bulk trailer to pick up loads of cement. This position will provide the successful candidate with the chance to apply their knowledge, learn new skills and work as a team within a safe environment. The ideal candidate for this role pays strong attention to detail and has a willingness to work overtime as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Pick up loads of cement in Austin and Houston and surrounding areas. Conduct pre, during, and post trip inspections according to FMSCA guidelines. Pull pneumatic dry bulk trailer to pick up and deliver bulk cement products. Must be able to climb ladders and open hatches on the tanker. Must be able to lift, pull, couple, and uncouple hoses from the trailer. Ensure all shipping credentials are correct with quantity and product. Work with plant manager and supervisor for loads, destinations, confirmations, etc. Maintain and protect company property. Observe and report equipment or mechanical failures immediately. Comply with all DOT and in-house regulations and rules. Perform any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall team operations. Operates a semi-truck according to applicable state and federal transportation laws. Transports loads safely and in a timely manner over required routes, obeying all traffic laws and observing all safety regulations. Deftly maneuvers truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas; follows loading crew signals. Maintains signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and other required paperwork; deliver documentation to appropriate staff when delivery route is complete. Facilitates routine service on trucks, which may include checking oil, water, gasoline, and air, reports maintenance malfunctions to supervisor. Arrange trailers in yard for optimum loading patterns. Work Schedule & Overtime:

Full-time, non-exempt hourly position - eligible for overtime pay after 40 hours in a workweek. Standard work hours: Monday - Friday, 5:00 AM - 4:00 PM (or until all work is completed. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required to meet project deadlines and business demands. Employees will be notified in advance of any additional hours and will be compensated accordingly for all overtime worked. Qualifications & Skills:

Must pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state department(s) of transportation regulations. No DWI/DUI in the last 5 years

No serious tickets or accidents in the last 5 years Must be at least 21 years old. Must be able to read and speak the English language well enough to do the job (including being able to read traffic signs, complete forms, and converse with enforcement officers Must be able to safely operate the motor vehicle he/she will be driving. Must be physically qualified to operate the vehicle in accordance with Sec. 391.41. Must provide a list of violations as required by Sec. 391.27. Must successfully complete a road test. Must be good with numbers to inspect loads and verify products. Must be punctual and safety oriented. Benefits & Perks:

Eligible after 1 year of service (must be 21 or older). Employer matches 100% of deferrals up to 3% of compensation. Employer matches 50% of deferrals on 3% to 5% of compensation. Job Offer Contingencies:
