We need a data analyst like you to bring your knowledge to USCENTCOMs data lake environment to support machine learning ( ML ) and artifi cia l intelligence development campaigns to improve intelligence for our nations warfighters. As a client-facing data analyst on our Joint Combatant Command market team, youll work closely with your clients to understand their questions and needs and then dig into their data-rich environments to help find the pieces of their information puzzle. Not only will you extract and evaluate their data, youll also help your client interpret the information and recommend how it can be used to make an impact on worldwide military operations, reducing risk to our military members and increasing mission success. How Youll Contribute: As a data analyst on our team, youll: Use your technical knowledge to support client and stakeholder relationships in USCENTCOM. Research, develop, and test data methodologies, and generate cross-functional solutions through collection, interpretation, evaluation, and analysis of large data sets. Contribute to impactful work and guide decision-making across multiple organizations. Apply your communication skills and analytical mindset by simplifying technical requirements and trends, based on audience. Present data findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders using your knowledge of databases, scripting languages such as SQL, Python, R, and Micro sof t Office Suite. Establish quantitative and qualitative metrics and key performance indicators to drive technical outcomes. Apply data visualization through different formats such as graphs, tables, and PowerPoint slides. You Have: 2+ years of experience designing algorithms and data manipulation capabilities using programming languages such as R, Python, and SQL Knowledge of how to identify new sources of data and methods to improve data collection, analysis, and reporting Ability to develop data pipelines and integrate data tools and solutions to enable self-service frameworks for data consumers to monitor and report on data Ability to work collaboratively with Intelligence and Data analysis teams to produce qualitative and quantitative data that support Intelligence products TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph Bachelors degree in a computer science field Nice If You Have: Experience with Distributed data or computing tools, including MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, or MySQL Experience with visualization packages, including Plotly, Seaborn, or ggplot2 Experience supporting Joint Combatant Commands or other DoD organizations Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information ; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allens total compensation package for employees.
