Description
RDA Inc. seeks an Aviation Acoustic/Mission Planning SME for our Lexington Park, MD office to provide engineering/technology development, design, ASW mission planning, integration, and test support services to customers such as PMA-264/NAWCAD Airborne Anti-Submarine Warfare Battlespace Division/ONR/DARPA and NUWC. Tasks include participation in Fleet ASW exercises and operations INCONUS/OCONUS with platforms like P-8A and MV-22B, among others deemed necessary by the Navy or sponsors.
Aircraft operations responsibilities include system integration, configuration, and operation of systems/software such as:
- Low-Cost Acoustic/Advanced Processor (LCAP)
- Radio Frequency Interference Collection System (RFICS)
- Active System Performance Estimate Computer Tool (ASPECT)
- Global Reconstruction and Measurement Systems (GRAMS)
Qualifications
Ability to prepare briefing materials for ASW mission planning supporting Developmental Test (DT), Operational Test (OT), and Data Gathering (DG) events. Must complete a Class 3 FAA Flight Physical and U.S. Navy Water Survival training for operating test equipment onboard P-8A, MV-22B, or other aircraft.
Experience
Minimum of 7 years as a P-3C/P-8A/H-60R Acoustic Aviation Antisubmarine Warfare Operator. Significant operational experience and knowledge of acoustic training systems and courseware. Proven experience in all facets of ASW and operations, including tactics, data analysis, fleet recommendations, and participating in working groups. Skilled in problem-solving under pressure and briefing senior personnel on project status and results.
Education
Prior military experience as a P-3C/P-8A/H-60R Acoustic Aviation Antisubmarine Warfare Operator.
Security Clearance
Must currently hold a SECRET clearance and be able to obtain a DoD TOP SECRET clearance.
Travel
Occasional CONUS and OCONUS travel, approximately 10-15%.
Additional Information
Willingness to submit to background checks. Physical requirements include lifting 25 pounds, moving in confined spaces, wearing protective gear, onsite presence, extended seated periods, computer use, and situational awareness.
