Environmental Works, Inc. (EWI) is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead environmental projects from scoping through completion, ensuring regulatory compliance and client satisfaction. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in EPA and DOT regulations, and the ability to manage field operations, safety audits, and project profitability across both office and field environments.
PROJECT MANAGER | ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Complete management of projects including initial scoping, budget development, work plan development, reporting, and understanding of objectives to achieve project completion. Be the primary point of contact for clients and regulators. Prepare detailed instructions for field staff and direct their project work. Prepare and/or review project deliverables including proposals, work plans, project reports, bidding specifications, and other correspondence. Collaboratively work and coordinate with other staff to problem solve and produce high quality creative solutions for our clients. Prepare invoices and manage profitability of projects. Conduct safety audits and site inspections to help support staff maintain a high level of safety on every site. Foster safety, staff development, authenticity, and accountability. Regional and some overnight travel will be required. Company vehicle provided. Set up contracts, prepare proposals and project reports. Write project-specific health and safety plans. Other duties as assigned. PROJECT MANAGER | COMPETENCIES:
Working knowledge of Federal & State EPA and DOT Regulations, as well as hands on experience with Hazardous Materials Response Operations. Capable of managing deadline-driven projects and workload. Ability to understand and interpret regulatory guidelines. Highly motivated, able to work well in a small team environment, and a strong focus on Customer Service. Ability to work and communicate with a variety of individuals with different personalities and communication styles. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task. Ability to prepare detailed reports. Requires effective time management skills and change management abilities. PROJECT MANAGER | POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
This is a full-time position that will do work in both an office and field environment. Ability to work flexible hours with potential for overnight travel. This position will be on call to respond to emergency work at times or as needed.
PROJECT MANAGER | REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
3-5+ years project management experience in Environmental Field Services or Emergency Response required. CDL B required.
Must be willing to obtain Tanker and Hazmat endorsements.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office required. For insurability purposes a valid Driver's License is required. PROJECT MANAGER | PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
