Job Title: Jira Administrator - Migration Expert Location: Remote Employment Type: Contract-3-6 Months

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Jira Administrator and Expert with a strong background in Azure DevOps and demonstrated experience migrating projects, workflows, and issue tracking from Azure DevOps to Jira. The ideal candidate will lead the end-to-end migration process, optimize Jira configuration, and ensure seamless adoption across teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and execute the migration strategy from Azure DevOps (ADO) to Jira, ensuring data integrity and minimal disruption. Configure, administer, and maintain Jira projects, workflows, custom fields, screens, schemes, and user permissions. Create and manage dashboards, filters, and reports tailored to business needs. Collaborate with development, QA, and DevOps teams to align Jira setup with existing processes. Automate workflows using Jira Automation, ScriptRunner, or similar tools. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively. Provide training, documentation, and user support to ensure smooth Jira adoption. Stay current on best practices, new features, and plugins for Jira and Confluence. Work with stakeholders to refine Jira as a tool for project tracking and reporting. Integrate Jira with other tools such as Confluence, Slack, GitHub, Bitbucket, or CI/CD pipelines.

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of experience as a Jira Administrator or Jira Consultant. Proven experience with Azure DevOps and end-to-end ADO to Jira migration. Strong understanding of Jira Cloud (or Data Center), workflows, permission schemes, and project configuration. Experience with data mapping, ETL, and tools like Jira Migration Assistant, Configuration Manager, or custom scripts. Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and supporting Jira Agile boards. Proficient in writing JQL and configuring custom dashboards and reports. Experience with ScriptRunner, Automation for Jira, or other add-ons. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Atlassian Certified Jira Administrator (ACP-100 or equivalent). Experience with Confluence, Bitbucket, or other Atlassian tools. Familiarity with REST APIs for Jira and ADO. Prior experience in a regulated industry or enterprise-scale environment.
