Our client's rapidly growing and well-established structural steel erection company in the Nashville metro is looking for an experienced
Structural Steel Estimator . This role would be responsible for estimating structural steel frames for single-story, multi-story, mixed-use commercial and warehouse spaces. This includes pre-construction and planning while working with the operations team to deliver accurate results.
Structural Steel Estimator Perks:
Annual base salary up to $90k Health insurance PTO 401(k) Commission Structural Steel Estimator Responsibilities:
Review and analyze blueprints, specifications, schedules, and other documentation presented by the client, to accurately prepare and estimate projects. Including alternate and breakdown prices. Manage Plans, Addenda, Changes, ASI, and RFI Etc. Prepare detail-oriented and accurate estimates & take-offs and estimate prices for any change orders on existing contracts, meeting assigned deadlines. Coordinate with fabricators for bid date changes and scope review & quantities. Writing of steel erection bid proposals using Microsoft programs Excel, Word, MS Project, and other estimating programs. Strong communication skills and the ability to interpret construction drawings, logistics plans, schedules and construction budget information is a must. Structural Steel Estimator Requirements:
BA in construction management, structural / civil engineering or business, strongly preferred 5+ years of commercial structural steel estimating experience Ability to read structural & architectural drawings CPE (Certified Professional Estimator) is a plus
