As an Ontada engineer, you will work on clinical data solutions in areas like Clinical Informatics, Data Modeling, and EHR systems. Position Summary: We seek a driven, enthusiastic full-stack software engineer to join our team in transforming cancer care and improving patient lives. Key Responsibilities: Write scalable, reusable, performant, and testable code with documentation Collaborate with team members, including offshore, and share knowledge Participate in architecture, design, and planning sessions Ensure application performance and security standards, especially within PHI environments Stay updated on modern technologies, innovate, and collaborate This description is general and not exhaustive. Degree or equivalent and 4+ years relevant experience Required Technical Skillset: Front End: Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript Experience with React and modern front-end practices Responsive design and cross-browser compatibility Knowledge of front-end testing frameworks Back End: Expertise in Java Microservices: Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring Batch RESTful service development and integration Understanding OAuth2, JWT mechanisms Data Access & Storage: Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and MongoDB Ability to design and optimize database schemas and queries Nice to Have: FHIR and HL7 standards experience Healthcare or health tech background CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes experience Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and communication skills Self-motivated, continuous learner Critical Skills: 4+ years Java development 2+ years with Spring/Spring Boot SQL query and schema experience (preferably PostgreSQL) Experience working with offshore teams Working Conditions: Work from home, US-based (limited locations) Occasional travel (1-2 times/year) Candidates must be authorized to work in the USA.
