Job Description
The Mine Truck Driver position is expected to work as a valued member of the mining operations team. This job consists primarily of operating a tandem dump truck to transport clay and other raw materials from the mine stockpiles to the plant mixing operation. The Mine Truck Driver may also operate a water truck to control dust on mine roads leading to the brick manufacturing plant.
Work Schedule:
Full-time position, Monday to Friday 7:30AM to 5PM, timing could change depending on production. Saturday work is sometimes required. Essential Functions

Operate company-owned trucks in a constant state of alertness and safe manner to facilitate material transport. Properly follow company and MSHA safety procedures. Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects or needed repairs to the superintendent; clean equipment as required. Follow daily procedures and protocols as set forth in job assignments and training. Maintain and protect all property in excellent condition. Assist in training lower-level employees in the operation, maintenance, and repair duties as required or assigned. Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in outside-weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, mobile equipment, and vibration.
Qualifications and Skills:
Strong mechanical aptitude and basic understanding of equipment maintenance. Ability to read and interpret operational manuals, production schedules, and safety guidelines. Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Physical stamina and the ability to work in outdoor and industrial environments under varying weather conditions. Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs. Stand for long periods, and work in varied environments (heat, dust, noise) Comfortable working in high-temperature environments. Proven experience operating heavy equipment, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting. Ability to pass all required safety training. Benefits
