The Associate Director of Resident Services provides critical support to the Head of Property Management in overseeing and implementing resident-focused programs and services across a portfolio of affordable housing communities. This position plays a key role in enhancing resident well-being, fostering community engagement, and ensuring program compliance.
Responsibilities
Program Development & Implementation: Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of resident services programs, including but not limited to: Supportive Services (e.g., case management, life skills training, employment assistance) Resident engagement activities (e.g., community events, social programs, resident councils) Emergency preparedness and response programs Resident education and outreach initiatives Ensure program compliance with all relevant funding sources (e.g., HUD, LIHTC) and regulatory requirements. Team Management & Supervision: Supervise and mentor Resident Services Coordinators and other team members. Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and address any performance issues. Recruit, hire, and train new staff as needed. Budget Management: Assist in the development and management of the department budget. Monitor program expenditures and ensure compliance with budget guidelines. Identify and secure funding opportunities for resident services programs. Data Collection & Reporting: Collect, analyze, and report on program data, including resident outcomes, program participation, and other key performance indicators. Prepare reports for funders, management, and other stakeholders. Maintain accurate and up-to-date resident files and records. Community Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, community partners, and external stakeholders. Represent the organization at community events and meetings. Advocate for the needs of residents and the community. Compliance & Quality Control: Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and funding requirements. Conduct regular program audits and quality assurance reviews. Identify and address any compliance issues. Other duties as assigned:

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in social work, Human Services, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in resident services, case management, or a related field in affordable housing. Experience supervising and mentoring staff. Strong understanding of affordable housing programs, including HUD and LIHTC requirements. Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software. Experience with data collection, analysis, and reporting. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong commitment to providing high-quality services to residents.

Salary Range
$70,000 - $100,000 USD
