We're looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team in Fruitville, FL. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in diagnosing and repairing various types of heavy equipment, including excavators, dump trucks, skid steers, and roll-off trucks. A commitment to safety, reliability, and efficient work practices is key to succeeding in this role. Compensation:
$25 - $35 hourly Responsibilities:
* Diagnose and repair diesel engines and heavy equipment through regular maintenance and repair procedures * Efficiently troubleshoot mechanical issues to ensure the smooth operation of various heavy machinery * Conduct thorough inspections and preventive maintenance on a range of equipment, including excavators, dump trucks, skid steers, and roll-off trucks * Replace or repair faulty parts and components as necessary to maintain equipment functionality * Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities performed * Adhere strictly to safety protocols and regulations while carrying out maintenance tasks
Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role * Strong knowledge of diesel engines and systems * Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment * Familiarity with HVAC systems in diesel vehicles * The ability to solder and perform tire service is a plus * Knowledge of tractor-trailer systems is beneficial * Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively * Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail * You must live in the US
