Remedi SeniorCare is seeking a dynamic Control Room Fulfillment Pharmacy Technician to join our team and make a difference in the lives of residents in long-term care facilities.Location: On site at our closed-door pharmacy (10448 Lakeridge Pkwy, Ashland, VA 23005)Salary: Starting at 18 /hr (based on experience) + 1.50 shift diffAvailable Schedule: 2nd shift: Monday - Friday 4:30 pm - 1:00 am, rotating weekends (first one - two weeks must be available to work a 9 am - 5:30 pm training schedule)What We Offer:Comprehensive Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance (as low as $13.33/pay)Paid Time OffFree Virtual Care - Telemedicine401k with company matchClosed-door Pharmacy - No more face-to-face meetings with customersReferral BonusesLife InsuranceMake a difference in the lives of others!We are growing and that means more opportunitiesKey Responsibilities:Responsible for the understanding and working knowledge of the pharmacy computer systems, including, but not limited to Framework, DocuTrack and CIM as it pertains to controlled substance receipt and distribution functions to ensure accurate, timely information inputAssist with entering controlled substance orders to include, but not limited to, new orders, refills, DC's, STAT orders, and clarifications as permitted by regulatory scope of technician practiceResponsible for packaging and labeling controlled substance medications into specialized packaging accurately per the valid prescription for final verification by pharmacistResponsible for managing workflow and monitoring orders to ensure all controlled medications entered for dispensing have been packaged/labeled/verified and totedResponsible for staging/toting all finished products and completing the chain of custody paperwork for handoff to couriersAssist with maintaining accurate controlled substance documentation and records.Responsible for entering/updating the pharmacy's perpetual inventory system (CIM) for Schedule 2, 3, 4, & 5 medications dispensed, removed, or receivedAssist with pre-packaging of controlled substances in anticipation of future use and maintenance of appropriate documentationAssist with fulfilling replenishment requests for long-term care facility's on-site emergency supply.Assist with coordination, replenishment, update and exchange of (exchange-type) controlled substance OSSAssist with management of removal/disposition/replacement of expired OSS contentsResponsible for assisting in procedures surrounding outdated/unusable controlled substances including appropriate receipt, documentation and disposal or return to stock any outdated/unusable or excess inventory returned to the pharmacyAssist with audits and inventories as directed Responsible for unpacking and stocking items received from wholesaler (under the supervision of the pharmacist); and escalating to Supervisor or PIC immediately if items are missing or appear tamperedResponsible for assisting with maintaining appropriate inventory, including, but not limited to:Ensuring only NDC active in FW is available in active inventoryEnsuring proper disposition of inactive/unusable inventoryEnsuring appropriate documentation for receipt, dispensing and other disposition of controlled substances.Ensure every tablet, capsule or other dosage form is appropriately accounted for.Demonstrate understanding and adherence of all applicable Federal and State regulations pertaining to Company controlled drug practices and Company controlled substance Policies & Procedures.COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIESComplies with all Company Policies, Procedures, and training requirementsConducts work and professional activities ethically and in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to:CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid)Boards of PharmacyState Health AgenciesDEA (Drug Enforcement Agency)OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and related state agenciesCompletes required Corporate Compliance training and act in accordance with Corporate Compliance Policies & Procedures:HIPAA/Privacy PolicyMedicare Part D General Compliance and Fraud, Waste and Abuse Company's Code of ConductOSHA workplace standardsPromptly report any business activity that you believe may violate the law, Company policies, or the Code of Conduct and understand the different ways in which compliance concerns may be reportedOTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform other duties as directed or assignedWork with pharmacists and other pharmacy technicians to improve pharmacy workflow process.Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly personal workspaceAssist and participate in maintaining a clean and orderly workplace including, but not limited to, common areas such as break rooms, restrooms, copier room, lobby and locker room areas.Participating in special projects or trainingWork with others in a positive productive professional manner ensuring appropriate responsive behaviorCustomer Focus (internal & external customers)Is dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customersObtains first-hand customer information and uses it for improvements in products and servicesTalks and acts with customers in mind - establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respectQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; advanced certifications in pharmacy operations preferredCurrent registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the VA State Board of Pharmacy requiredMinimum of 1 year of experience in a pharmacy or fulfillment environmentSkills & Abilities:This position requires the ability to exert up to 40 lbs. of force occasionally and/or lift, carry, push, or move objects.
