Production Operator-Industrial Turlock, CA 3 Months Pay Rate $21/hr 1st. Shift: Monday - Friday 10am-6:30pm Skills: Need Forklift and Warehouse experience Education: HS Diploma or GED Preferred Steel/Composite Toe Boots Description: The Production Operator is primarily responsible for housekeeping and assisting mixing/pelleting and other production areas. The qualified candidate will have the ability to work 40(+/-) hours per week and be willing to work in different areas in the plant. You must be able to repeatedly lift 50 lbs.; and be mechanically inclined. The candidate must be able to multi-task; work as a team player; and work in a fast-paced environment with very high responsibilities. 1. Works safely and follows all safety procedures and safety requirements including but not limited to: a. Lock out tag out (LOTO), Personal Protective Equipment, Fall Protection, Forklift Safety, Dock Safety, Conveyor Safety, Proper Lifting and Housekeeping. 2. Operates equipment and supporting systems. This includes: a. Selects correct palletizing program for the intended feed. b. Loading pallet magazines. c. Loading slip sheet dispenser. d. Loading wrapper. 3. Performs minor troubleshooting on equipment and supporting systems. 4. Operates forklift in a safely manner and follows all protocols related to forklift safety. This includes but it is not limited to: a. Wearing a seat belt. b. Conducting daily inspection of the forklift(s) and reporting disrepairs to supervisor. c. Refueling. 5. Operates docks as intended and follows all protocols related to dock safety. This includes but it is not limited to: a. Using "glad hands" to secure air brakes. b. Utilize the dock lock system prior to loading trailers c. Where applicable makes sure light is green prior to entering truck. d. Reports disrepair to supervisor. e. Puts jack stand under the trailer. 6. Inspect trailer before loading for condition and cleanliness. Reports disrepair immediately so that trailer is put out of service. 7. Ensure all pallets have a slip sheet, are shrink wrapped and labeled properly. Ensures correct bag and label was used. 8. Scan all pallets correctly and be able to fix mistakes 9. Provide accurate bag counts to packer operator. 10. Ship confirms correct ST/OT and for the right quantity. Verifies quantity available via supply and demand. 11. Completes palletizer log thoroughly and accurately. Saves log after every entry. 12. Executes changeover accurately. Clears system thoroughly of previous run so there are no comingled pallets. 13. Loads off the floor regularly. Loads oldest product first. 14. Cleans palletizer area thoroughly for each line used during the shift. 15. Cleans the warehouse by sweeping, picking up debris and cobwebbing. 16. Supplies the packer with empty bags in a timely manner. 17. Executes bin checks per procedures. 18. Dump trash containers at the end of the shift. 19. Unloads miscellaneous trucks when needed 20. Completes additional housekeeping assignments. 21. Must be willing to work as needed, in other areas where you've been cross trained 22. Sitting, standing, walking, able to work in tight spaces, climbing stairs/ladders - required. 23. Able to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions - required. 24. Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. - required. 25. Visual acuity - required. 26. Able to work in hot/cold/dusty environments - required. 27. Beating/poking bins - required. 28. Forklift certified - required. 29. Not afraid of working heights greater than 5 feet - required. 30. Scissor lift certified - required. 31. Attention to detail - required. 32. Basic computer and math skills - required. 33. Sense of urgency - required. 34. Overtime/weekends - required per business needs. 35. Completes miscellaneous assignments from management. 36. Assigned work tools - PPE, radio, and flashlight.
