Representative DutiesIn the absence of child nutrition assistant staff members, to perform all duties outlined in the Child Nutrition Assistant I job description, including, but not limited to, the following:Assist in the preparation of the main dish, salad, vegetable and other menu items; assist in setting up of serving area; serve food to students and faculty members; collect monies received from the sale of foods, as required; maintain records of all sales and free/reduced breakfast/lunches as per State and Federal regulations; clean and store utensils, cafeteria equipment and fool supplies; clean work areas; may assist in the packaging and loading of food; may operate kitchen cooking and cleaning machinery including oven, mixer, grater, slicer, and dishwasher; perform related duties, as assigned. Minimum QualificationsSome food service and cashiering experience is highly desirable. Formal or informal training or education which ensures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance. Exposure to fumes, such as cleaners and sanitizing agents; noise from kitchen equipment, staff and students; electrical hazards (i.e. cords, etc.); mechanical hazards, such as broken or malfunctioning equipment.Physical Abilities:32 lb. lifting/carrying weight requirement.
