Job Overview Extraction Preparation Associate Our company is looking to expand its Extraction department with highly motivated and task-oriented individuals.

Extraction Preparation Associate

will work directly under the Extraction Manager to perform day-to-day tasks for the extraction operation and help ensure all duties in the extraction operation are performed in a safe, compliant and successful manner. This position is responsible for preparing, monitoring, and maintaining cleanliness and efficiency of the manufacturing processes. The Extraction Preparation Associate will report to the Extraction Manager and will work both within the facility and on our outdoor extraction skid. This role will strictly follow the company's standard operating procedures and quality control measures to maintain production of high-quality products. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, strong mechanical aptitude, and adherence to cGMP guidelines. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Maintain a safe, clean, organized work environment and report any safety concerns. Receiving, handling, loading and preparing raw material for extraction with care and attention. Support training new employees on equipment and procedures in line with approved batch records, SOP's and evaluate compliance on an ongoing basis. Properly and successfully perform processes related to Extraction following standard operating procedures. Provide vital

cleaning/sanitization

of the extraction equipment and space. Understand and execute procedures, methodologies, and compliance steps for tracking production activities from raw material to ingredient production. Ensure consistency and efficacy of product through quality control testing, standard operating procedures and proper documentation. Ensure personal hygiene is acceptable before performing any production activities by washing hands, wearing a hair net and other personal protective equipment, etc. Sanitize all production equipment and tools including workspace, utensils, containers, cookware, and machinery. Create and complete batch production records and labels in accordance with standard operating procedure. Weigh, package, label, and document all products, as well as the tracking of batch numbers, lot numbers, and expiration dates. Ensure the above information is accurate, appropriately documented and listed clearly in accordance with regulations and company standard operating procedures. Additional job duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Must be willing to learn about raw material processing. Previous forklift certification is required. Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment. Ability to work in all weather conditions, including but not limited to, rain, wind, sleet, snow, extreme heat/cold, etc. High level of integrity and a strong work ethic. Strong interpersonal skills; team player. Demonstrated ability to work comfortably and effectively within a diverse, multicultural, multigenerational environment. EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or equivalent required.. Bachelor of Science preferred. Work Experience: Minimum of 2 to 3 years working in a team environment. OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES AND/OR TRAINING: Basic understanding of chemistry. Ability to preserve confidentiality of information. Ability to work as part of a team to achieve company goals. Ability to work weekends on an occasional basis. Ability to work extended days on an occasional basis. Ability to work daytime or evening hours. Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks/ projects. Ability to work within strict time frames and resolute deadlines. Ability to work within the company's strategic approach as designed by the executive team. Personal transportation. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential responsibilities and duties of this job. Regularly required to do the following activities: Stand dynamically for long periods without a break. Use hands to finger, handle, and/or feel; the ability to type, pick, pinch with fingers, seize, hold, grasp or turn with hands and perceive attributes of objects and materials such as size, shape, temperature, or texture, by touching with fingertips. Steel toe footwear is required. Maintain balance while walking, standing or crouching. Twist upper torso. Reach up and out with hands and arms. Ability to lift 50 pounds and carry a distance of one hundred feet. ADDITIONAL DETAILS The Extraction department operates 7 days a week utilizing 2 day and 2 night shift crews, schedules listed below: Day Shift A - 6am-6:30pm Sunday through Tuesday and every other Wednesday Day Shift B - 6am-6:30pm Thursday through Saturday and every other Wednesday Night Shift A - 6pm-6:30am Sunday through Tuesday and every other Wednesday Night Shift B - 6pm-6:30am Thursday through Saturday and every other Wednesday This is a full time position based out of Roxboro, NC.
