We are seeking a Warehouse Shop Technician to assist with the handling our media broadcast equipment and gear. This person will work with high end gear and help our warehouse expedite everything incoming and outgoing for our jobs. This position is primarily responsible for the Shipping and Returning of equipment to and from orders, delivery of equipment to a client, and general organization of the warehouse. This role will also be responsible for all field shop activities, equipment, and gear as needed. This could be a good role for a person with a year of experience in a similar field or capacity in a warehouse and in shipping and receiving. This is a Full-Time hourly position, Monday through Friday, 9:00AM - 6:00PM, on-site at our Van Nuys, CA location. There will be some overtime as needed. Wage is $18 - 19 per hour.
Key duties include: Responsible for the day-to-day order process, ensuring inbound and outbound orders get processed promptly. Helps load and unload gear off trucks using a hand truck, pallet jack, and forklift. Create accurate R2 documentation for all the equipment returning into the building. Documents missing and damaged equipment on return from a contract. Deliver equipment to and from client, sub-vendor, and shipper (when needed). Assists in general clean up and organization of the warehouse. Performs quality control checks of items like tripods, lighting, monitors, fiber, kits, etc. from the inbound shelves. Helps with documentation of missing equipment and damages. Helps locate equipment in the building when it has been lost or misplaced. Be part of the On-Call rotation.
Requirements:
1 -2 years of experience working in a similar environment Experience working in a large warehouse / field shop Valid Driver's License Able to operate company vehicles i.e. van and up to 24’ box truck. Able to work necessary overtime or weekends to complete workload. Able to operate company vehicles Strong organizational skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) High school diploma or equivalent required. Knowledge of UBS R2 software a plus.
