This is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing a large production unit, driving performance, and ensuring operational excellence in injection molding processes. You will report directly to the Plant Manager and be a key member of the Plant Management Committee. Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Organization • Lead a team of supervisors and support staff (up to 250 employees). • Directly manage production, quality, engineering, and continuous improvement functions within the UAP (Autonomous Production Unit). • Coach and develop supervisors to foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement. Injection Molding Operations • Ensure optimal performance of injection molding processes, equipment, and personnel. • Drive process improvements and implement best practices in molding operations. • Oversee readiness and execution of new product launches involving injection molding. Performance Management (QCDP) • Set and monitor KPIs: PPM, PPH, TRS, absenteeism, safety, and improvement initiatives. • Manage labor resources, shift structures, and equipment utilization to meet production targets. • Lead problem-solving initiatives (QRCI, 5S, TPM, SMED, etc.) and drive continuous improvement. Team Development • Define staffing needs, lead recruitment, and ensure effective onboarding. • Develop training plans to enhance team autonomy and technical capabilities. • Conduct performance reviews and support career development of team members. Collaboration & Communication • Ensure clear communication across all levels of the organization. • Participate in plant-wide initiatives and contribute to overall plant performance. • Lead monthly UAP meetings and ensure timely information flow.
