Marine Corps Student Naval Aviators begin their journey at The Basic School (TBS) in Quantico, Virginia, where they are trained in the fundamentals of leading Marines. From there, they report to Naval Air Station Pensacola to commence the rigorous and elite flight training pipeline. Throughout each phase — from Aviation Preflight Indoctrination to Primary and Advanced flight training — Marine aviation students are challenged mentally, physically, and morally as they prepare to lead from the cockpit. Upon earning their Wings of Gold, Marine Aviators fly a variety of aircraft, including rotary-wing, tiltrotor, and fixed-wing platforms in support of combat and humanitarian operations around the globe. Job locations include: New River, NC, Beaufort, SC, Camp Pendleton, CA, Cherry Point, NC, Quantico, VA, Miramar, CA, Twentynine Palms, CA, Kaneohe, HI, Washington, D.C., Yuma, AZ, Okinawa, Japan, Iwakuni, Japan.

Basic qualifications include: U.S. Citizen Bachelor’s Degree (or current undergraduate senior) Medically and physically qualified for flight training Competitive ASTB (Aviation Selection Test Battery) score Marine Aviators are at the tip of the spear, leading aviation missions and supporting Marines on the ground.
