VerbaCare is a clinician-led, school-based special education agency with 20+ years of experience supporting Speech Language Pathologists and Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) clinicians. Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented, experienced Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a part-time, 3 days per week, in-person role in Concord, CA. This position focuses exclusively on IEP development, speech and language assessments and evaluations, SLPA supervision, and case management. No direct therapy sessions are required, giving you the flexibility to concentrate on critical clinical and administrative responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments and evaluations to identify student needs Develop, write, and lead IEP meetings ensuring compliance with legal requirements and student goals Supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs), providing guidance and oversight Manage cases effectively, coordinating services and ensuring continuity of care Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to support student progress Maintain timely, accurate documentation and reporting in accordance with state and federal regulations Stay current with best practices in school-based speech-language pathology and special education law Required Qualifications: Valid California Speech-Language Pathology License (CCC-SLP preferred)
Experience with school-based speech and language assessments, IEP writing, and SLPA supervision Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills Commitment to student-centered advocacy and team collaboration Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Prior experience in special education settings with mild to moderate support needs Familiarity with assistive technology and AAC devices Why Work with VerbaCare?
