A leading manufacturer specializing in gel coats and resins, is seeking a Process Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in driving process improvements, ensuring optimal plant performance, and supporting production teams to meet operational goals. You will play a key role in continuously improving our batch polyester resin process for our Silmar and CoREZYN brands. You will leverage your engineering expertise and problem-solving skills to enhance the safety, quality, and productivity of our plant. You must be a US Citizen for this position.

What you can expect to do in this role as a Process Engineer: Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety. Provide technical expertise to troubleshoot equipment issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions. Collect and analyze data to identify process trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement. Lead initiatives to enhance production workflows, reduce waste, and improve yield. Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment is functioning at optimal performance levels. Manage capital improvement projects, from concept through implementation, ensuring timelines and budgets are met. Ensure all processes comply with environmental, health, and safety regulations. Support the training of production staff on new equipment, processes, and safety protocols. Assists with leadership of Process Safety Management (PSM) programs.
What we are looking for in a Process Engineer: A bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment Strong understanding of process control systems, instrumentation, and troubleshooting. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions. Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or similar process improvement certifications. Must be highly organized and excel in time management Intermediate proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Outlook Proficient in various software including MiniTab, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office programs.
