Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Systems Engineer to support the design, installation, and maintenance of wired, cellular, cable, and broadband data transmission systems. This role will work with both copper and fiber optic networks and will be instrumental in configuring and maintaining complex switching systems and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Radio Access Network (RAN) macro facilities and be proactive in identifying and resolving system performance issues. Responsibilities: Design and implement telecommunications equipment for the transmission of voice, video, and data via wired, cellular, and broadband systems. Install and support copper and fiber optic cabling, switching systems, and associated network infrastructure. Design or configure telecommunications systems, including software, hardware, and programming modules. Coordinate the installation of new or modified system components in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Evaluate hardware and software solutions to ensure compatibility, efficiency, and reliability within existing networks and systems. Monitor and analyze system performance to proactively detect and mitigate service-impacting issues. Oversee telecommunications service requirements for large-scale projects, ensuring timely planning and implementation. Develop, update, and maintain technical documentation to support system security, compliance, and ongoing operations. Required Skills: Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with the installation of essential ground equipment at RAN macro sites. Working knowledge of telecommunications transmission systems, including copper and fiber optic infrastructure. Soft Skills: Strong communication skills with the ability to provide timely and clear updates. Self-motivated, dependable, and able to prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment. Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Preferred Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and FUZE data entry systems. High-level understanding of IP protocols and router configuration. Familiarity with RAN equipment and wireless infrastructure design.
