Position Summary:
Coordinate activities between manufacturing departments to ensure that all manufactured components are delivered in a timely manner to meet the requirements generated by MRP. Communicate with internal customers (e.g., Sales, Manufacturing, Engineering, etc.) to provide estimated completion dates for delivery on all customer orders and delivery quotes. Responsible for coordinating production activities for all assigned items in respective production work centers to meet sales and forecasted demand through opening and maintaining work orders for in house production.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: · Review MRP regularly, open work orders, report shortages and monitor statuses. · Work closely with production supervision for scheduling jobs to meet sales request dates on time. · Develop production scheduling/priorities for production work centers pursuant to work in process load and capacity availability. · Work with Purchasing and other manufacturing departments to expedite any shortages on open work orders to fulfill sales request dates and monitor their coordination of outside processing. · Review and process all submitted stock requisitions. · Quote delivery dates on new sales delivery quote requests. · Maintain and update product data management planning parameters. · Monitor, analyze, and implement engineering change notices.
REQUIREMENTS: · PC skills and working knowledge of computerized manufacturing systems. · Must understand the theory of MRP and be familiar with Bills of Materials and Routings. · Should have basic reading skills for blueprint drawings and/or schematics. · A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc. with ability to create spreadsheets, graphs, documents, measurements, and performance charts. · Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment. EDUCATION/TRAINING: · 4-year business degree or 5 to 7 years’ experience utilizing a business computerized MRP system. APICS certification and Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne exposure is a real plus.
