Director of Human Resources

to lead HR strategy and compliance as the company continues scaling nationwide. With approximately 175 employees and operations across 9 states (and growing), this role is essential to maintaining a strong, compliant, and culture-forward organization.

Role Summary: This is a

hands-on, executive-level HR leadership role

overseeing all HR functions for a workforce that includes both office staff and field crews. With a full transition planned from the current HR Director, the right candidate will step into a mission-critical position just ahead of Open Enrollment (October 2025). You’ll serve as a solo HR leader—supported by accounting, brokers, and legal counsel - owning compliance, benefits, employee relations, performance, and onboarding.

Project Type: Commercial Roofing – Service, Re-Roof, New Construction (Blue- & White-Collar Employees)

Job Responsibilities: Oversee onboarding and offboarding for all employees (field + office) Lead

multi-state compliance

across 9+ states with ongoing expansion Manage performance reviews, employee relations, and field leadership support Administer and optimize

benefits plans

with broker support (Marsh McLennan) Oversee 401(k) plan in partnership with

ADP Retirement Services

and Financial Advisor Handle all

workers' compensation

cases and reporting Ensure legal compliance (EEOC, EEO-1, 1095-C, unemployment claims, etc.) Maintain and update HR policies, forms, and employee handbooks Manage compensation structures and advise exec team on salary frameworks Serve as

point of contact

for all employment law matters (with Littler support) Own and operate ADP HRIS including recruiting, onboarding, LMS, and reporting

Qualifications/Requirements: 7–10+ years of HR leadership experience in

construction or subcontracting Proven track record in

multi-state HR compliance Experience working with both

blue-collar and executive teams Solid background in

benefits and 401(k) administration Strong familiarity with ADP systems, 5500 filings, and Procority fees SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or HRCI certifications

preferred Must be located

within 25 miles of Atlanta

and available

onsite 5 days/week Thick-skinned, proactive, and comfortable in fast-moving, no-nonsense environments
