Our capital equipment manufacturer is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Logistics Shipping Supervisor to lead the outbound daily shipping operations for large machinery and heavy equipment, including domestic and international shipments. The candidate will have leadership abilities, knowledge of freight regulations, (domestic and International import/export). In addition, this role requires the candidate to have logistic coordinating oversized/ heavy loads. Key Responsibilities · Supervise and coordinate all shipping activities for large and heavy equipment. Experience with both domestic and international freight. · Prepare and review international shipping documentation, including commercial invoices, bills of lading, certificates of origin, packing lists, and export declarations. · Be compliant with U.S. and international trade regulations, including Incoterms, customs clearance, and hazardous material requirements when applicable. · Manage scheduling and communication with air, ground and sea freight forwarders, customs brokers, and international carriers. · Supervise shipping staff, and equipment operators to ensure accurate and timely shipment preparation, crating, and loading. · Ensure all shipments are properly packaged, secured, and labeled in accordance with domestic / international standards and customer requirements. · Work across production, warehouse, and sales teams to ensure shipping deadlines are met. · Monitor freight rates and transit times to identify cost-saving opportunities and resolve shipment issues. · Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation for audits and compliance tracking. · Enforce safety standards and conduct training related to international shipping procedures and heavy equipment handling. · Track and report shipment statuses, delays, and logistics performance metrics. · Maintain a neat, clean, safe working environment by adhering to OSHA standards · Build and maintain professional relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders (such as freight company vendors, riggers, purchasing managers, suppliers, etc.) · Become certified in CMMC (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification) and ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) to maintain compliance

Qualifications and Education Requirements · High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in logistics, supply chain, or a related field preferred · 3–5 years of shipping/logistics experience, with specific knowledge of international freight and export regulations · Strong knowledge of freight forwarding, international carriers, customs procedures, and Incoterms · Experience in a material handling role · Shipping software experience a plus · Knowledge of MS Office applications · Proficiency in SAP ERP system a plus · Good written and oral communication skills · Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
