plant-based procurement professional
to lead
direct material sourcing
activities (metals, components, fabrics) at the local level, while supporting broader
global category strategy . This role is critical in securing supply, optimizing vendor performance, and driving cost savings through hands-on execution and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities Manage local sourcing and procurement of direct materials Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery with regional suppliers Resolve supply continuity and quality issues promptly Implement cost reduction initiatives (e.g., VA/VE, dual sourcing) Support global RFQs, supplier transitions, and standardization efforts Act as the bridge between local operations and global category teams Provide market intelligence, supplier feedback, and performance data Collaborate closely with Planning, Operations, Quality, and Engineering Ideal Candidate Profile Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business 3–5 years of experience in direct materials sourcing at a
manufacturing plant Strong negotiation, supplier management, and cost analysis skills Familiarity with procurement in matrix/global environments is a plus Excellent cross-functional communication and analytical mindset
