*This is a Hybrid position near Raleigh, NC. Must be within driving distance of Raleigh or within 2-3 hours.
Responsibilities: Build and maintain long-term partnerships with suppliers to drive outstanding results. Define and implement supplier portfolio strategies aligned with the department goals. Lead sourcing projects, initiatives, and supplier negotiations to optimize value. Achieve annual business results including cost savings, supplier performance, and policy compliance. Conduct capacity reviews and proactively minimize supply chain risks. Perform detailed spend assessments and market insights to support cost and operational decisions. Drive reporting processes that provide transparency and business unit visibility on cost change initiatives. Execute competitive bids and manage contracting processes in line with procurement best practices.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or Engineering 6+ years in strategic/direct purchasing and managing sourcing initiatives Expertise in direct commodity management, preferably with solar industry experience Proven skills in cost analysis and price breakdown methodologies Experience managing direct reports Strong logical thinking and advanced computer proficiency Experience in commercial commodity relationship management Exposure to electro-mechanical assemblies, particularly involving plastic/rubber materials Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across departments and regions Demonstrated critical thinking and intellectual curiosity Strong motivation and growth mindset within Procurement functions
