Job Description: Project Architect (Construction-Focused)
Location:
Houston, TX (Hybrid – some onsite presence required) We are seeking a
Project Architect
with strong construction administration experience and a proactive approach to
onsite coordination . This role requires hands-on involvement with field activities, contractor oversight, and close collaboration with our internal MEP engineering team to ensure seamless integration across disciplines.
Responsibilities Lead architectural design and documentation with an emphasis on construction feasibility and coordination. Collaborate daily with the MEP engineering team to ensure cross-discipline alignment. Conduct field visits, oversee construction activities, and support contractor coordination throughout the project lifecycle. Provide architectural support during permitting, bidding, and construction phases. Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders to manage design changes and resolve field issues. Review submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and perform punch list inspections. Contribute to continuous improvement of architectural and interdisciplinary standards.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Architecture required; licensure or licensure track preferred. Experience with architectural design and
construction project management and administration . Strong proficiency in
AutoCAD and Revit . Demonstrated ability to
manage field coordination
and
contractor communication . Knowledge of building systems and experience working with MEP engineers. Highly organized, with strong project management and time-management skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Spanish bilingual is a strongly preferred. Experience in engineering-driven environments or design-build settings is preferred.
