Location: Foster City, CA Employment Type: Full-Time/C2C/W2 Overview: We are looking for a Senior Braking Systems Engineer to lead the design and integration of advanced braking technologies, including ABS, ESC, brake-by-wire, and redundancy mechanisms. This role requires strong expertise in embedded software development, system-level testing, and ISO 26262 safety compliance. Key Responsibilities: Lead system-level design and integration of braking systems, including ABS, ESC, brake-by-wire, and redundancy mechanisms. Define and review software architecture, interfaces (API in C++ / C), and integration strategies for safety-relevant brake functions. Ensure compliance with ISO 26262 (ASIL B–D) across the V-cycle, from concept to production. Drive embedded software integration, focusing on high-reliability and real-time execution. Define, implement, and validate system-level test strategies including HIL and SIL environments. Develop and review Software Test Plans, System Integration Test Cases, and Test Automation Frameworks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Safety, Systems, Controls, Software, Validation) to ensure end-to-end functionality and safety compliance. Participate in safety analysis (FMEA, FTA, DFA) and contribute to technical safety concepts. Provide mentorship to junior engineers and lead technical reviews and audits. Qualifications: Experience with AUTOSAR, functional safety toolchains, and Functional Safety. Exposure to diagnostics (UDS). Prior leadership experience in cross-disciplinary teams or project management.
