Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Senior UX Researcher to join a customer facing insights and design team. This role will be local to NY or NJ to sit onsite hybrid. Through end to end user research processes, candidates will drive transformation within design by contributing insights and research outcomes. On a day to day basis you will partner with experience designers, product partners and technical partners to run, develop and execute UX Research projects/programs aimed at understanding customer needs, expectations, and experiences. Deliverables within the role will range from early/generative user research, through rapid/iterative formative testing, and later evaluation. Candidates should have qualifications to execute on qualitative and quantitative research, create research briefs from scratch and match the research methodology best fit for the scope of work, as well as handle the research end to end and deliver insights and clarification to stakeholders. Being able to refine research along the way is also pivotal to the role. Candidates should be comfortable working in an Agile environment, building relationships and leading their track of work.

You have a critical approach to research. You’re always looking for sources of bias. As appropriate, you challenge the use of research techniques, and suggest techniques better suited to a scenario. You understand when less-direct data gathering methods may be appropriate, e.g. observation vs interviewing when studying a business process. You have a healthy sense of “some things are difficult to know through research” and are quick to think about (and communicate to stakeholders) limitations to various research approaches.
