Key Responsibilities: Provide empathetic support and practical strategies to help students navigate challenges Address school-based concerns such as bullying, behavioral issues, and emotional well-being Maintain accurate, confidential records related to student mental and physical health Collaborate with families, educators, and school staff to ensure student success Design and implement intervention plans for students facing challenges at home Monitor and document student progress and emotional/behavioral developments Refer students and families to appropriate community and mental health resources Stay informed on best practices in student mental health and behavioral support Advise teachers on effective strategies for working with at-risk students
Qualifications: Valid Illinois Social Worker License Active Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Worker endorsement
