The Opportunity: Operations is responsible for profitable completion and installation of 1220 Exhibits projects. This is accomplished by ensuring and improving the performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability through the execution of operational strategies & planning; leadership & management of 1220’s operations departments; and leading a strong operation’s team based on our "THIS is 1220" culture.

As the Director of Operations, you'll be a member of 1220’s Executive Team reporting directly to the President. Reporting to this position is the operation’s leadership team: Production Manager, Director of Project Management, Technical Manager; Graphics Production Manager; and their respective teams.

Director of Operations – Duties & Responsibilities: Operations Management- Oversee and improve processes to meet project, budget, quality, and service goals. Lead planning systems to optimize capacity, cycle time, and efficiency. Implement and maintain QA/QC standards to minimize rework and complaints. Develop SOPs and manage performance using KPIs and metrics. Support business goals with effective operational processes. Organizational Leadership- Build a strong organizational structure with clear roles and accountability. Implement employee reviews and career development plans. Enforce discipline and maintain high team standards. Partner with HR on onboarding to retain top talent. Foster a culture aligned with “THIS is 1220.” Strategic Execution- Collaborate with leadership to execute strategic plans that drive profitability. Develop CapEx and staffing plans with strong ROI. Apply continuous improvement models (e.g., Lean, 5S, TOC). Build strategic partnerships to enhance operations. Safety & Compliance- Ensure OSHA, environmental, and regulatory compliance. Maintain safety programs, training, documentation, and reporting. Executive Leadership- Take on special projects and responsibilities as needed to support company goals. Embrace a “do whatever it takes” mindset. Qualifications- Bachelor’s in Business or 3–5 years of relevant leadership in manufacturing. MBA preferred. High integrity, professionalism, and service-oriented mindset. Skilled in recruiting, training, and motivating teams to drive performance and growth.
