Plant Manager
is responsible for driving a culture of continuous improvement focusing on serving the customer by creating and maintaining a safe, highly productive and quality focused facility, while making the most efficient and cost-conscious use of our assets. Primary Duties This individual will be involved in a variety of management, leadership, and mentoring activities including: Creating a culture of safety as a value through safe manufacturing practices and ensure compliance with all applicable safety and environmental rules, regulations, and procedures. Set and maintain standards that ensure on-time delivery of quality products that meet customer needs Optimizing costs and productivity through lean continuous improvement activities Control operational costs that are aligned with seasonal business needs Identifying, prioritizing, and pursuing capital project activity to drive process improvement, improve safety and optimize flow through the plant Determine facility headcount required and manage planning and approvals Guide management team in recruiting, hiring, development and termination activities to meet business needs Function as an in-plant expert concerning the production of the plant’s product line Manage the managers in the plant. Groom and mentor potential successors for plant and operations leadership roles across the network Maintain performance excellence by holding the team accountable for both rewarding results and managing employees who do not meet performance expectations. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree 5+ years’ experience leading a manufacturing operation as site leader 8+ years’ experience in batch manufacturing leadership role Demonstrated expertise in managing significant change within a manufacturing operating environment Relevant experience in plant start-ups with demonstrated success in organizational development and team building Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP database management systems This position comes with: Annual bonus up to 22% PTO + Paid Holidays Employee medical benefits for employees through BCBS, Sun Life dental and vision, life insurance, short & long-term disability insurance, wellness program, 401(k) with 3% match, plus employee assistance programs Employee health (medical, dental, vision) pricing: $95.42 (medical), $15.64 (dental) $12.39 (vision)/month Employee + Family health (medical, dental, vision) pricing: $241.06 (medical), $37.53 (dental), $31.58 (vision)/month
