Job Summary The Sales & Marketing Analyst will serve as a key strategic partner across the Excelligence family of brands, including Really Good Stuff (RGS) and Discount School Supply (DSS). This role is critical in unlocking growth by delivering data-driven insights that guide marketing, sales, ecommerce, and customer engagement strategies.
This role will partner closely with the sales, marketing, merchandising, and analytics teams. This individual will synthesize data from a variety of sources—including Salesforce CRM, ESP platforms, Google Analytics (GA4), datalake, and ecommerce platforms—to optimize campaign performance, customer segmentation, product positioning, and channel effectiveness.
Responsibilities
Evaluate advertising and promotional campaign performance to optimize reach, ROI, and engagement across
eCommerce and B2B channels , using key metrics such as Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), Lifetime Value (LTV), and retention.
Leverage
Salesforce CRM
data to analyze the customer journey across multiple touchpoints, enabling more precise measurement of program effectiveness and opportunities for personalization.
Analyze the impact and efficiency of
catalog and sample programs , delivering insights that enhance conversion, engagement, and customer retention across segments and customer types.
Assess
multi-channel campaigns —including print, digital, and social—by measuring web traffic, ecommerce conversions, and lead quality, and deliver actionable insights to enhance campaign outcomes
Build and maintain a comprehensive
digital marketing and ecommerce performance dashboard , focused on tracking key sales drivers and KPIs.
Investigate marketing metrics to uncover
cause-and-effect relationships , applying findings to optimize content, cadence, and offers that drive ecommerce growth.
Conduct segmentation and performance analysis to inform
account-based marketing (ABM) strategies
that support sales outreach and conversion.
Collaborate with Sales and Marketing leadership to deliver data-driven recommendations that shape campaign planning, targeting, and resource allocation.
Key Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field. 5–7 years of experience in business, marketing, or financial analysis. Strong communication skills (written and verbal), organization, and time management. Ability to extract insights from complex data and translate them into clear, actionable business strategies. Proficiency in Google Analytics (GA4), CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce), and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Experience applying AI or machine learning techniques for segmentation, campaign optimization, or automated reporting. Strong familiarity with KPIs used in sales and marketing performance management. Capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Preferred Skills and Experience Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or Analytics. Experience with pricing, margin planning, and product strategy. Background in ecommerce or B2B environments. Proficiency in CRM reporting, Web analytics Exposure to merchandising, product development, and forecasting models.
