We are looking for a talented and experienced Electrochemist/Chemical Engineer/Materials Scientist to join our team and help us in our mission to develop multiple cutting-edge technologies that will enable us to us to achieve net-zero by 2050.

Job Description: The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of industrial processes, experience in process, electrode, fuel cell, battery, or electrolyzer development, and a passion for solving complex problems in the climate technology sector. You will work closely with a team of engineers, scientists, and researchers to design, test, and optimize electrochemical technologies that can be used to tackle several issues in the climate sector.

Your primary responsibilities will include: Conducting research and analysis to develop new chemical processes and material selection that will be used to build a next generation portfolio of climate related technologies Designing and testing prototypes of new stacks to optimize their efficiency, reliability, and scalability Collaborating with other members of the engineering team to integrate chemical processes into larger systems Systems level thinking, able to link experiments, feasibility, and performance of back to technoeconomic assessments and prioritize accordingly Analyzing and interpreting experimental data to inform the design and development of new products and processes

Desired Qualifications: Masters Degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field 5 years post PhD, 10 years post B.S. of experience in Echem development and optimization Strong knowledge of chemical reaction kinetics, thermodynamics, and transport phenomena Experience with analytical laboratory equipment and instrumentation such as gas chromatography, mass spectrometry, X-Ray Diffraction, and electrochemical characterization methods (EIS, CV, Polarization) Experience with design of experiments (DOE) and statistical analysis of data Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information to a diverse range of stakeholders Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced startup environment Experience with industrial electrochemistry and electrolyzers is a plus
