Haight, Brown & Bonesteel LLP, a well-established civil defense litigation firm with offices throughout California, seeks an attorney to add to the team in our Workers’ Compensation practice group. This position is in our Los Angeles or Irvine office.
Responsibilities: Handle all aspects of workers’ compensation litigation including taking depositions and making appearances at the WCAB Assume responsibility for cases at all levels of complexity Communicate effectively with clients Develop strategies leading to efficient resolution of cases Negotiate and settle cases-in-chief as well as liens Draft pleadings and reports Depose applicants and physicians
Qualifications: Experience in WC on either the defense or applicant side Familiarity with the WCAB procedures and the California Workers’ Compensation laws Active California Bar License Experience defending S&W, 132a and/or subrogation claims a plus
Pay:
$160,000.00 - $180,000.00
per year in addition to a
$20,000.00
annual bonus for those who meet the quarterly billable hour requirements
