Seeking estimators open to GC, subcontractor and MEP background

Day to day job: Drywall metal stud framing interiors doors frames hardware exterior cladding In-office, estimating Project s: Airport rental car facilities, Practice facilities, Amazon facilities Location : Columbus- 5 days a week Corporate policy- after 6 months, you can WFH 1 day/week Performing quantitative takeoffs on construction projects. Establish labor productivities for estimate. Maintain positive relationships with area vendors for competitive material and equipment pricing. Solicit subcontractor pricing for work done outside of our self-perform group. Understand the market conditions including competitive approach, backlog, level or risk for work and other factors for establishing margin percentages. Be involved in the internal bid reviews with supervisors and project team. Participate in the customer alignment objectives of the branch by creating and maintaining positive customer relations. Contract administration for secured projects. Prepare wage and benefit schedules. Assist in the hand-off of secured projects to the Operations Team. Assist in other duties as assigned such as change order management or billings depending on the project(s).
Basic Requirements At least 3 years of estimating construction projects. Experience with estimating/project management/managing specialty scopes of construction. Strong ability to read, understand and interpret specifications and drawings for PCI’s scopes of work. Strong record of establishing and maintaining customer relationships. Excellent communication and customer service skills. High level of attention to detail and cost analysis. Ability to accurately read schedules for sequencing and durations of applicable scopes of work. Proficiency with computer takeoff & estimating software such as On-Screen Takeoff and Quickbid. Preferred Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science or Construction Management. Experience with working with union representatives is preferred. OSHA Certification. Local to metro area is preferred.
