Plans, schedules and monitors inbound movement of materials from suppliers.
Determines material requirements and coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production and engineering.
Develops specifications for new contract orders.

May be involved in schedule preparation and/or shipments. Sorts, posts and files inventory records and production schedules.
Estimates and records production rates, prepares shop orders and reviews stock records to determine stock status against project requirements.
