Bismarck, Fargo, Mankato, St. Paul, or Minneapolis . The ideal candidate will specialize in
real property title examination , with a strong emphasis on
oil and gas title work .

oil and gas and renewable energy projects , focusing on: Examining title records and determining ownership of surface, mineral, and leasehold interests across multiple tracts of land. Researching and resolving complex title issues. Drafting detailed and sophisticated title opinions. Our practice serves a diverse client base, including
oil and gas operators, renewable energy developers, independent power producers, transmission companies, and traditional utilities . We welcome applicants with experience in
oil and gas and/or real estate law , and particularly encourage those with
specific expertise in oil and gas title examination
to apply. While we prefer candidates with
3-8 years of experience
who can commit to
1600-1775 billable hours annually , we are open to considering individuals with more experience or different hour expectations. Preferred Qualifications: 3-8+ years of relevant legal experience. Background in one or more of the following:
Title examination. Oil and gas transactions (e.g., lease, easement, purchase agreements; title and survey review). Real estate transactions (e.g., lease, easement, purchase agreements; title and survey review).
Strong interpersonal, analytical, and writing skills. Solid academic credentials. J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school. Licensed to practice in
Minnesota or North Dakota,
(depending on office location), with the ability to obtain licensure in
North Dakota
