About the Role We are seeking a highly motivated
Benefits Analyst
to join our Human Resources team. In this role, you will be responsible for the administration, optimization, and compliance of employee benefit programs, leave management, and workers’ compensation. This is a key position that blends day-to-day administration with process improvement, vendor relations, and data analysis. Key Responsibilities Benefits Administration Manage group benefit programs including health, dental, vision, life, disability, and 401(k) Oversee new hire onboarding, life event changes, and annual open enrollment Serve as point of contact with vendors and brokers for claims, coverage, and eligibility issues Prepare employee benefit guides and communication materials Audit benefit invoices and ensure timely and accurate payments Ensure compliance with ACA, COBRA, ERISA, HIPAA, and IRS guidelines HRIS & Reporting Maintain and audit benefit and leave data in HRIS (Dayforce preferred) Create reports for audits, compliance filings (EEO-1, 5500, NDT), and internal use Assist with system enhancements and vendor integrations Support data-driven decision-making by identifying trends and optimization opportunities Compliance & Special Projects Support annual filings and internal audits (5500s, SOX, ACA) Assist with benefit plan design changes and integration efforts post-acquisition Stay informed on legal and regulatory changes related to benefits and leave policies Leave Management & Workers’ Compensation Administer all leave cases (FMLA, CFRA, ADA, pregnancy, etc.) Coordinate return-to-work processes and reasonable accommodations Manage workers’ compensation claims and communication with carriers and legal counsel Analyze leave trends and suggest process improvements
What You Bring
Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field 3 to 5+ years of experience in HR, with a focus on benefits, leave management, and compliance In-depth knowledge of state and federal regulations (ERISA, HIPAA, FMLA, ADA, COBRA, ACA, CFRA) Experience with 5500 filings and other compliance documentation
Skills & Tools Strong proficiency in HRIS systems (Dayforce highly preferred) Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, data visualization) Ability to manage confidential data with integrity Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
