The Axel Group is seeking a Director of Safety & Risk Management to join our client’s team based in Bucks County, PA. This modular construction firm is looking for a safety leader to champion a strong safety culture across both factory operations and field installation teams.

Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive Safety Management System across all factory and field operations. Oversee and enforce safety protocols within the modular warehouse and job sites. Conduct regular jobsite and factory walkthroughs, audits, and hazard assessments to ensure full compliance. Investigate accidents, near-misses, and safety complaints; lead root cause analyses and implement corrective actions. Deliver safety training programs for all levels of personnel—including onboarding for new hires and ongoing refreshers. Serve as a liaison between internal teams, third-party contractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies regarding safety standards and incidents. Maintain and update all safety documentation, logs, and compliance records in accordance with OSHA and company policy. Lead internal safety inspections and support teams during external audits or inspections. Manage risk mitigation efforts and support insurance claim processes related to safety incidents. Promote and maintain a proactive, safety-first culture through communication, leadership, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications: 10+ years of experience in construction, manufacturing, or related safety leadership roles Strong working knowledge of OSHA standards, safety compliance, and regulatory requirements Proven track record of building and managing safety programs from the ground up Experience conducting audits, inspections, and incident investigations Excellent communication skills with the ability to train, influence, and lead across all levels of an organization Certified Safety Professional (CSP), CHST, or equivalent certification preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety management software platforms Ability to travel regularly between factory and field sites as needed
