PROCUREMENT MANAGER – TELECOMMUNICATIONS

The Procurement Manager will lead sourcing and procurement efforts across telecom infrastructure projects, with a focus on wireless network deployment. This role is responsible for managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring cost-effective, timely delivery of materials and services. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in telecom procurement, strong analytical and negotiation skills, and a proactive, data-driven approach to vendor management and strategic sourcing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Strategic Sourcing & Procurement

Develop and execute procurement strategies for telecom infrastructure, including tower construction, fiber, power, and equipment. Lead processes for vendor selection, and contract negotiations to ensure competitive pricing and service levels. Collaborate with engineering, construction, and finance teams to forecast demand and align procurement with project timelines.

Vendor Management & Contracting

Manage relationships with key suppliers, contractors, and OEMs to ensure performance, compliance, and risk mitigation. Negotiate Master Service Agreements (MSAs), pricing terms, and service-level agreements (SLAs). Monitor vendor performance and resolve issues related to delivery, quality, or compliance.

Cost Control & Data Analysis

Track and analyze procurement spend, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support budgeting and forecasting efforts. Maintain procurement dashboards and reporting tools to provide visibility into supplier performance and project impact. Ensure alignment with internal financial controls and audit requirements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with legal, finance, and operations teams to ensure procurement activities support broader business goals. Support executive reporting and provide strategic insights to senior leadership on procurement trends and risks. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain and procurement lifecycle.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

5+ years of procurement experience, with at least 3 years in telecom or wireless infrastructure. Strong understanding of telecom construction, equipment, and service provider ecosystems. Ability to analyze construction drawings, RF data sheets, and other documents to ensure bid quality, extract materials requirements, and optimize cost strategies. Develop cost estimates and maintain pricing database. Proven ability to negotiate complex contracts and manage vendor relationships. Proficiency in procurement systems, data analysis, and reporting tools. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field required. PMP or CPSM certification preferred.
