Our client, a leading Life & Annuity Insurance Firm, is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior FP&A Analyst to join their finance. This role is critical in driving strategic financial insights, supporting executive decision-making, and enhancing financial performance through robust forecasting, budgeting, and analysis. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in insurance finance, particularly in life and annuity products, and a strong command of financial modeling and data interpretation.

Key Responsibilities: Lead the annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range planning processes for the life and annuity business lines. Develop and maintain complex financial models to support profitability analysis, capital planning, and scenario modeling. Partner with actuarial, underwriting, and investment teams to analyze product performance, reserve trends, and investment income. Prepare and present monthly financial reports, variance analyses, and executive dashboards to senior leadership. Support strategic initiatives such as M&A evaluations, reinsurance transactions, and new product launches with financial impact assessments. Monitor and interpret key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying risks and opportunities to improve financial outcomes. Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and corporate financial policies. Continuously improve FP&A processes, tools, and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA/CFA preferred. 5+ years of progressive FP&A experience, with at least 2 years in the life and annuity insurance sector. Strong understanding of insurance accounting principles, statutory reporting, and actuarial concepts. Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; experience with Hyperion, TM1, Adaptive Insights, or similar tools is a plus. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.
