Contract Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled
AUTOSAR Engineer
with strong hands-on experience in
MCAL (Microcontroller Abstraction Layer)
development and integration for a contract role in
Auburn Hills, MI . The ideal candidate will be responsible for configuring, developing, and testing low-level drivers and ensuring seamless integration within the AUTOSAR architecture. Key Responsibilities: Develop and integrate
MCAL drivers
based on AUTOSAR architecture. Configure AUTOSAR stack modules using tools such as
DaVinci Configurator ,
EB tresos , or equivalent. Collaborate with hardware teams to understand microcontroller specifications and support hardware-software integration. Perform unit testing and debugging of MCAL modules. Ensure compliance with
AUTOSAR standards
and customer-specific requirements. Participate in code reviews, integration testing, and issue resolution. Document software design, implementation, and testing activities. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, or related field. 3+ years of experience working with
AUTOSAR architecture , with specific experience in
MCAL . Hands-on experience with microcontrollers such as
Infineon, NXP, Renesas, or STMicroelectronics . Proficient in
C programming
and embedded software development. Experience with AUTOSAR configuration tools ( DaVinci Developer/Configurator, EB tresos ). Strong debugging and problem-solving skills using tools like
Oscilloscopes, Lauterbach, CANoe/CANalyzer . Familiarity with communication protocols like
CAN, LIN, SPI, I2C . Preferred Qualifications: Exposure to
Functional Safety (ISO 26262) . Experience in the automotive domain with Tier 1 or OEM clients. Knowledge of CI/CD practices and version control tools (e.g.,
Git, Jenkins ).
