Our Veterinary Technician Student Externship Program offers hands-on experience in emergency medicine alongside credentialed veterinary technicians. Focus areas include obtaining patient vitals, processing lab samples, caring for hospitalized animals, triage, and working in a fast-paced environment. This unpaid externship requires rabies vaccinations unless your school's policy allows handling unvaccinated pets without vaccination. Flexibility:

Supported by a credentialed veterinary technician. Focus:

Immersive experience in emergency medicine. Requirements: Enrolled in an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology or nursing program, or actively seeking accreditation, with a requirement for externship hours or skills. Externship must start within 6 months of application. Rabies vaccination required unless your school's policy permits handling unvaccinated animals without vaccination. Additional Details
