An award-winning independent community teaching hospital in southern Connecticut is adding a Nocturnist to its team of 8 Physicians.
Opportunity Highlights
7 nights on/ 7 nights off with 12-hour shifts Open ICU. Procedures optional Census is 8-12 Provide inpatient services at a 160-bed community teaching Hospital Admit and manage the Hospitalist Service patients and provide high-quality, safe, and efficient medical care to those patients Provide consults as requested on non-medical services Provide timely sign-out of all patients admitted on the shift to daytime hospitalists as appropriate Work with Emergency Department clinicians and staff to expedite the transition of care and admissions Comply with applicable quality and safety measures, including Core Measures from the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services Supervise, teach, and evaluate medical house staff and other trainees on a daily basis Participate in other clinical, educational, or quality improvement work as recommended by the Chief Hospitalist Leading base salary plus incentive compensation, generous paid time off, including CME time Excellent benefits include medical, vision, dental, including orthodontia, 401k with employer match, and CME Community/Location
