Software Engineer Subject Matter Expert (SME)
with an active
TS/SCI clearance
to support mission-critical national security initiatives in
Huntsville, AL . The ideal candidate will have expert-level proficiency in Python and JavaScript, a strong background in full lifecycle software development, and the ability to collaborate with non-technical stakeholders to deliver impactful technical solutions. Responsibilities:
Collaborate with national security investigators and analysts to understand mission needs, recommend solutions, and translate requirements into technical specifications. Engage in all phases of the software development lifecycle: requirements gathering, planning, design, development, testing, implementation, and QA. Design, code, test, and debug software components, including: New custom software features and capabilities Enhancements to existing codebases Workflow and operations automation Large-scale data processing and analytics solutions Advanced computational and statistical modeling Conduct operations and maintenance (O&M) tasks such as: Developing new features Troubleshooting and resolving software issues Reviewing logs for patches or performance improvements Refactoring existing code for optimization Assisting in documentation creation Evaluate and integrate third-party solutions (COTS, GOTS, OSS) to solve complex data and technology challenges. Programmatically integrate external components into existing platforms. Required (Must Haves):
Active TS/SCI clearance Expert-level proficiency in Python and JavaScript Demonstrated experience in full lifecycle software engineering Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Preferred Qualifications:
High proficiency in HTML, CSS, C#, and Java Eight (8) years of relevant experience with a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Mathematics OR Six (6) years of relevant experience with a Masters degree in a related field Additional Details:
